🗝️Get API Key

To integrate with 1buy.io, you need an API key. This key allows your application to interact with the platform programmatically. Follow these steps to obtain your API key for development and production environments.

Types of API Keys​

  1. Development API Key

    • Use this key for testing and building your application in the development environment.
    • No approval is needed; you can immediately move to deploying your blueprint.

  2. Production API Key

    • Use this key for live transactions and operations in the production environment.
    • Requires admin approval after generating the key.

Steps to Obtain an API Key​

1. Log In to Your Dashboard​

  1. Visit your environment:
  2. Log in with your email and password.

2. Generate Your API Key​

  1. Navigate to the API Keys section in your dashboard.
  2. Click "Generate".

For Development API Key:​

  • This key is available instantly and does not require admin approval.
  • You can use it immediately to deploy your blueprint.

For Production API Key:​

  • This key requires admin approval before it can be used.
  • Once the key is approved, it will be marked as active, and you will receive a notification.
  • After approval, you can use this key for live deployments and transactions.

3. Configure Your Deposit Wallet Address​

After obtaining your API key, you need to configure your wallet address for transactions.

  1. Click "Set Deposit Wallet".
  2. Enter your EVM-Compatible Wallet Address (e.g., POL wallet).
  3. Save your wallet address.

Important:

  • Ensure the wallet address is accurate.
  • Once saved, the wallet address cannot be changed.

4. Clone Development Data to Production​

If you have already configured your data in the Development Environment, you can copy it directly to the Production Environment without having to recreate it.

  1. Navigate to the API Keys section in your Development Environment.
  2. Click "Apply for Production" to clone your development data to the production environment.
  3. After applying, your development configuration, including products and settings, will be transferred to production.
  4. Once the process is complete and the API key is approved, you can start using your production setup.

Note: Cloning saves time and ensures consistency between environments.
